New Heavy Rain Preview and Video Footage
We already know two of Heavy Rain’s stars, Paige and Jayden, but, at this year’s Gamescom, writer and director David Cage unveiled new details about the game’s other two characters, Ethan Mars and Scott Shelby. In guided presentations Cage gave detailed introductions of each, their relationship to the game, and a glimpse into their lives. The demos help develop a clearer picture of how the game will come together as a whole.
One of those two is Ethan Mars, a former architect whose life has fallen apart after a terrible tragedy. While out shopping one day with his wife and two sons, one of the boys wandered out into the street; the child was struck and killed by a reckless motorist. Now Ethan goes through life as an empty shell, blaming himself for not being able to rescue his son. His wife left him and he does his best to raise their remaining son, Shaun, alone.
